Accreditations and Licensing

Craig Hospital is licensed as a General Hospital by the State of Colorado Dept of Public Health and Environment.  We are classified as a Long Term Care Hospital (LTCH) by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).  Craig is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO)- latest survey August, 2008. 

Craig has been ranked in the Top Ten Rehabilitation Hospitals in the U.S. for 19 consecutive years, by U.S. News and World Report, since the rankings began in 1990.  In 2005 Craig Hospital was awarded Magnet recognition status by the Magnet Recognition Program® of the American Nurses Credentialing Center- the 2nd rehabilitation hospital in the U.S. to achieve Magnet recognition.
