Clinical Evaluation and Management of Visual and Perceptual Impairments Following Acquired Brain Injury: A “Hands-On” Approach

The seminar will be held Friday, July 25th and Saturday, July 26th, 2008 at Craig Hospital. The cost is $375 ($325 early registration by June 15, 2008) or $315 for group of 3 or more attendees. This course provides 14.5 contact hours in the form of a certificate of attendance. A detailed syllabus and outline will also be provided.

In this two-day course, experienced clinicians will offer their knowledge of the visual system, visual assessment techniques, professional networking regarding visual management, and clinical manifestations of visual impairments following stroke and traumatic brain injury. The entire second day of the course is devoted to the clinical application of treatment strategies in a hands-on interactive lab format. The assessment and treatment strategies can be immediately implemented in practice by clinicians and are appropriate for stroke and traumatic brain injury patients throughout the continuum of care. Participants will receive a detailed outline of each presentation, basic visual treatment tools, and reference materials for continued use following the course.
