The Mike Utley Terrain Park will open in July 2008 as an outdoor training center for patients at Craig Hospital. Located outside the West building gymnasium, the space will include two sets of stairs and ramps, five heights of curbs, a cobblestone path, a garden trellis with doorways, a speed- bump pathway and more. These outdoor challenges will give patients who are rehabilitating after a spinal cord or traumatic brain injury the opportunity to build strength, practice real-world skills and face challenges that prepare them for returning to the most active life possible.

This new Terrain Park was a dream of the physical therapy department that became reality when Mike Utley, a Craig graduate and former pro-football player with the Detroit Lions, made a major gift from the Mike Utley Foundation. Additional gifts from the Colorado Garden Show and the Cloverleaf Foundation allowed us to set a date for construction. Engraved bricks in the park will raise additional revenue and give our community an opportunity to leave permanent memories at Craig Hospital.

There are 3 sizes of commemorative bricks available. Each brick will be custom-engraved with an inscription from the donor.

• Individual Bricks (4 x 8 pavers) are $150.
  Inscriptions can have up to 3 lines of engraved text with 20 characters per line.
  
  
• Family Bricks (8 x 8 pavers) are $500.
  Inscriptions can have up to 6 lines of engraved text with 20 characters per line
  
  
• Entry Way Bricks (12 x 12 pavers) are $1,000.
  Inscriptions can either have 6 lines of engraved text with 20 characters per line (in a larger font) or a logo with 2 lines of engraved text.
