 | Rehab Tech/ Behavior Attendant Job Title: Rehab Tech I/BA
Description: Assists assigned adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with SCI and/or TBI with their physical care; participates in the implementation of the patient’s plan of care as directed by the RN; maintains an organized and safe patient/unit environment. Provides safety, structure and physical care in a consistent manner to patients with impaired reasoning and thinking skills and/or behavior issues. Rehab Techs/BAs will participate in orientation and precepting of new staff.

Assessment of Patients For this job classification, assessment refers to monitoring activities as delegated by the RN. 3. Care of Patients 4. Safety: Management of Environment of Care 9. Management of Information
Requirements: 1. Current CPR certification 2. Education – High school graduate or equivalent 3. Experience – Previous experience CNA preferred or care provider preferred. Previous experience with patients with SCI and /or TBI preferred.
Skills: 1. Works cooperatively with others in a team effort. 2. Organizes work while being flexible toward changing demands. 3. Demonstrates/possesses excellent interpersonal skills. 4. Understands and follows written and oral instructions. 5. Communicates positively, calmly and clearly in a timely manner, seeks and accepts direction. 6. Recognizes changes in patient condition that requires immediate action. 7. Writes clearly, legibly and documents concisely. 8. Sets appropriate priorities for basic patient care/needs.
Abilities: 1. Recognizes changes in: patient condition; environment; social atmosphere that affect the patient. 2. Meets all physical requirements of the job 3. Attends to the needs or requests of people and/or the expressed or implicit health care needs of persons in their care. Immediate response is involved. 4. Demonstrates respect and sensitivity toward individuals with disability. 5. Gathers, collates, or classifies information and data, people, or things. Reports and/or carries out a prescribed action in relation to the information is frequently involved.
Schedule: Evenings :Full-Time {2 West}; Part-Time {2-East & 3-West} Nights: Part-Time (12 hour & 8 Hour Shifts) {3-West & 2-West} Per-Diem Positions available with Craig Hospital Experience |
